NAIVE

Naive - Flame.jpg

Vibrant, summer-ready, and a little bruise underneath, “Naive” was recorded live in the studio to pull the listener into a space born to be shared. The energetic core of the song leaves room for the poignant lyrics to unveil the eternal friction between expectation and hope, particularly in

relationships.

Carrying over the seamless fusion of alternative folk and rock from their previous single "Gravity",

"Naive" has sharper teeth. The track's raw and fierce instrumentation, with a hint of irony

cutting through the powerful vocals, solidifies the song's bite as deep as its themes, balancing uplifting moments with the vulnerability of the lyrics.

“I believe there’s often a confusion between expectation and hope, especially within relationships,” Flame, frontwoman of the band, explains. “This song was born from the realisation of just how fundamentally different these two elements are. What we desire doesn’t imply the certainty of it happening, and what we expect doesn’t always match what we hope for in someone else."
